In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Giana and Chika ecstatically dive into the world of Ouran High School Host Club and discuss episodes 1-3! In episode one, the girls comment on the progressive thinking and self-awareness of the anime. Giana recalls some of the thoughts she had the very first time she ever watched Ouran. Chika debates the place makeovers have in media post the early 2000s. In episode 2, Chika presents a hilarious new angle on Kasugazaki and Shuzushima’s relationship. Giana gushes about some of the imagery and writing in the episode. In episode 3, Giana accidentally slips into an impression of Honey when reciting one of his lines. Chika unpacks a somewhat troublesome line from Tamaki towards the rest of the Host Club.
