In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Chika, Giana, and Avary (Kyoruyeye) review episodes ten through twelve of Fruits Basket (2019). In episode 10, Chika and Giana discuss Kyo’s hate towards Yuki. Giana describes her attempt at making Valentine’s Day chocolates. Chika makes an excellent point about Shigure’s job stability. Avary sheds some light on Kyo’s treatment by the Sohma’s. In episode 11, the story of the “idiot traveler” sparks a deep discussion between the women about kindness and its place in both Fruits Basket and the real world. A certain scene foreshadows a much later event that has all three ladies’ hearts going doki-doki. Giana somewhat loses her composure over Eric Vale’s performance in a particular scene. In episode 12, Hatsuharu’s “proof” gives everyone a laugh. Yuki’s emotional past and inner dialogue resonates with Giana. Chika lays down a solid theory about Shigure’s manipulation tactics. Avary breaks down the possible reason behind Akito’s harsh opinion of Tohru.
